Building fun things on the web while trying to reach 5000 subscribers on my newsletter 📬
I built Habit Buddy because my friends and I were using a Google Form to track our 30 day fitness challenge. I thought, this could be a simple app to track habits with friends. The idea is to pick a habit, set a goal, and then challenge your friends to see who can stick to it the longest.
I made Ten Ideas as a daily brainstorming journal for myself. It stemmed from the James Altucher method of just writing ten ideas every day. Pick any topic, usually something I've been thinking about or working on, and then just write ten ideas. Do the same thing the next day. I wanted something dead simple to keep the creative muscles working every day.
Weekly newsletter I send out with a web dev project tutorial and web apps I find during the week. I think you should totally subscribe. I hit my goal of 1000 subscribers last year, so now I'm aiming for 5000.
In 2021, I really wanted to master Tailwind. So I built a Pokédex with a ton of divs and tailwind classes. Inspect the page and you will see what I mean. It was a fun project. I used the PokéAPI to get the data.
This was the first game I ever made back in 2019. I used the P5.js library to build it. It also never crossed my mind to make it mobile friendly, but I've since learned from my mistakes.
